Due to the weather, Coaches Q&A is cancelled. This will not be rescheduled.
If you have PROBLEM specific (NOT solution specific, or team specific) questions that you have been unable to answer by reading any of the posted general clarifications on the CCI website (contact your coordinators for info on accessing general clarification) or re-reading (and re-re-reading!) your problem and the program guide, you can contact the problem captain through the Contact us link.
If you have a solution specific question, that you have been unable to answer by reading and re-reading (and re-re-reading) your problem and the program guide, your last day for requesting a clarification from CCI is February 15th.

Would you like a discount on your 2008-2009 membership with the International Odyssey Association?
Anne Tapaszi has agreed to coordinate group memberships for Region 13. If we have 11 or more memberships in one packet, it reduces the cost of each membership from $135.00 each to $100.00 each. The deadline for getting your registration forms and checks to Anne for the first round is September 22, 2008. If there is sufficient interest for a second group membership mailing, we'll post the deadline at a later date.

The Virginia State Tournament was a huge success!
Congratulations for a job well done to ALL our Region 13 teams who presented their solutions at our State Tournament on Saturday, and especially these teams who won ribbons and trophies!
1st and 2nd place teams will continue to World Finals 2008 at University of Maryland May 31-June 3! We encourage all Region 13 teams to come support them. The schedule of performances will be posted on May 12th and can be found at www.odysseyofthemind.com/wf2008/state_schedule.php or by going to www.odysseyofthemind.com, clicking on World Finals 2008, then Spectators.

Wet Weather Alert
It looks like we will have showers all day Saturday. This makes courtesy to all especially important. Teams will want to keep their props and costumes dry; this is difficult if the loading areas near the school doors are blocked. Please plan to pause with your team's "props car" only for the several minutes needed to unload or reload, and do not leave the car driverless. At all other times, the car should be parked somewhere else so that others may use the space nearest the doors. Also, we do not have a lot of space for storing wet umbrellas. One large umbrella takes less space than several small ones - please help to keep the indoor space available to teams and audience by not bringing more umbrellas than you need. And don't shake your umbrella near a team's props or scenery! :) With everyone's cooperation, the wet weather can be merely a minor inconvenience, not a major irritant.

The volunteer coordinator will contact volunteers by Thursday, March 13th, 2008 to tell them the time frame she has assigned them to work and where in the school they should meet her on Tournament day to be assigned a specific volunteer job.

Fear not! You have not missed the registration window for either of these. Your faithful webmaster was having some difficulty with the web site. The Coordinator Meetings Are Upon Us.
For those of you who have not checked out the Events page, also known as Important Dates, note that both of the Coordinators Meetings are taking place this week. There are two separate sessions for those of you who cannot make one or the other.
These meetings are an excellent opportunity for new coordinators to ask questions and to learn from each other. More experienced coordinators can find out what changes are in store for this year.
We look forward to seeing you at one of the meetings.
